Your child's teacher will pace the SOL strands and skills during Class Connect Sessions this year as the pace of learning is set by the needs of students. The attachment below is a guide of objectives that your student will cover throughout the year. This is a valuable guide to you as well as the Learning Coach. The beginning of the school year is a great opportunity to review the 4th grade objectives and reflect on what your child's strengths and weaknesses. This will allow you to focus heavily on those objectives that you feel your student may need additional practice in.
On this reading page, resources will be updated to reinforce topics (skills) aligned to the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL). These resources should serve to assist Learning Coaches in promoting differentiation for each individual fourth grader and encouraging further success as students practice the Standards of Learning (SOL) skills taught in Class Connect Sessions.
