How many vocational courses can I choose from?
You can only choose one out of the 13 vocational tracks
Is this programme recognised by MOE?
Yes, this programme is recognised by the Ministry of Education.
What will I receive at the end of the vocational training?
You will receive a "Certificate of Completion" from our vocational training partners. Some of the vocational training programmes are WSQ Certified. The certificate you received at the end of the vocational training is recognised in the industry.
Will there be a written exam/test?
Depending on your vocational training, you may be required to complete an assessment to determine your competency in the vocational knowledge and skills.
Do I need to be officially exempted from school before coming for this programme?
No, you do not need to.
If my parent/ guardian is unable to attend the assessment interview, can my sibling or relative accompany me instead?
Yes, they are allowed to. However, they need to be 21 years old and above.
What is the dress code?
T-shirts and long pants (e.g. jeans, sweatpants), or dresses/ knee-length skirts for ladies
Covered shoes (e.g. sneakers, sports shoes, school shoes)
Cardigan, sweater or jacket
What are the employable rates for the programme?
The rate of employability is dependent on the industry and the readiness of the youth. Throughout the programme, our team of dedicated social service professionals will support the youth in getting a job placement.
What is included in the programme cost of $300?
It includes the admission fees for vocational training. If the training requires you to purchase any equipment (e.g. aprons, scissors), you may loan the equipment from us at no additional cost for the duration of the programme.
May we use Edusave to make payment?
Applicants have to be current students in a local Secondary or Tertiary school in order to pay with their Edusave account. Speak to our staff for more information on how to utilise your Edusave funds for the programme.
Are there any repercussions if I am unable to complete the course or withdraw prematurely from it?
This programme is heavily subsidised and made possible by generous donors. Applicants who are unable to attain 80% of the course attendance or withdraw prematurely are required to bear a penalty of 50% of the total course fee (i.e. $2,500).
