Touch on our roots by joining our cultural dance or skit performances to create a bond between members as we practice our dances and script lines

With talented skills in photography, the media committee assists our media directors in taking photos and filming events.

The videography of our upcoming GBM’s records the moment of all of our members together, laughing and having fun just like a big family.

High resolution photos of two main events, such as TTT and Tet to give the audience an insight of the hardworking performers to provide an excellent show.

Not only are they in charge of drawing unique posters, the Decoration committee make sure to work together and compromise the important aspects that is presented for each GBM event.

Painting and creating props/banners, in addition, they make posters that is presented during our Fundraisers. 

When it is time for ACE reveal, the decoration chair will make the poster to fit the theme.

When friends and family come to watch the TTT and Tet, there will be posters and decorations to give the vibe of a big celebration.

Every year, VASA takes part in a Collective Philanthropy Project, in which we collaborate with other UNAVSA-affiliated schools to raise money for the Collective Philanthropy Project. UNAVSA is the Union of North American Vietnamese Student Associations (UNAVSA). It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan, community-based organization.

The Collective Philanthropy Project (CPP) is an initiative for Vietnamese students and community organizations to collaborate and partner with in working towards one charitable cause. This year, our CPP beneficiary is Collective Freedom

What is Collective Freedom?

Collective Freedom was founded to respond to a critical gap: the lack of culturally competent, trauma-informed services for Southeast Asian refugees, particularly Vietnamese Americans, facing immigration enforcement after decades of resettlement in the United States. Their work operates at the intersection of immigration and the criminal legal system, where individuals often face detention and deportation despite deep community ties. 

Through their program, they provide legal education, know-your-rights workshops, attorney referrals, and individualized case navigation. They also support families during detention and removal processes and coordinate post-deportation resettlement support in Vietnam through on-the-ground individuals with lived experiences as deportees

What does VASA's Philanthropy do?

Our Philanthropy works hard to fundraise for the CPP, we host many events such as our annually philanthropic field event, Ham Chơi for a Good Cause, Splatter Splash, Care to Dare, and many more to come!

Aside from fundraising for the CPP, we also host volunteering events for our students!
