About Samskrita Bharati

Samskrita Bharati (founded 1981) is a movement for the continuous, development and propagation of the Sanskrit language. It is a non-profit organization comprised of a large team of very dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who take the knowledge of Sanskrit to all sections of society irrespective of race, gender, region, religion, caste, age etc. More details are available on the website link here. https://www.samskritabharati.in/ Dr Chamu Krishna Shastry who is the co-founder of this movement is a "Padma Shri" awardee in the category of Literature and education.

Sanskrit has been the vehicle of our culture and thought from time immemorial. Culture and language go together, are inseparable. Hence, reviving Sanskrit is rejuvenating our culture and vice versa.

The main aspect of Samskrita Bharati's teaching methods is to learn the language in Sanskrit itself rather than through other language by translation. Books and teaching aids for children, students, adults are available.
