Cloth Saver

This project was the first project that I did after joining my university. Me and my classmate Swapnil Roy developed a moving cloth drying stand, "Cloth Saver," responsive to rain for the class "Product Realization" in the first semester of our freshmen year.

The Cloth Saver was composed of a cloth drying stand, rain detection circuit and moving base with a stopper. The moving base had a single DC motor for retracting the stand. The rain detection system had an open circuit at the top of the stand which gets complete by rainwater. As rainwater is usually low on ions, an op-amp was to used to enhance the signal.
