This Software ("Vapend") is provided as is and is intended to help you track and reduce your vaping spend and nicotine use.
This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use Vapend.
If you choose to use Vapend, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Use unless otherwise defined here.
Your Data Stays on Your Device
Vapend is an offline-first app. All the information you enter — purchases, prices, nicotine amounts, your baseline, quit date, and progress — is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData). This personal data is never uploaded to our servers and we never see it. It stays private to you and is included in your device backups only if you enable them.
We do not have accounts, we do not require sign-in, and we do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, or location.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
To understand how the app is used and to fix problems, Vapend uses the following third-party services:
Google Firebase Analytics — anonymous, aggregated usage data (for example, which screens and features are opened) to help us improve the app.
Google Firebase Crashlytics — crash and error reports so we can diagnose and fix stability issues.

We do not collect the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and Vapend does not track you across other apps or websites. No App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown because no tracking occurs.
We disable collection of the device identifier (IDFV) and advertising ID in our analytics configuration.
Analytics data is not linked to your identity and is not used to build a personal profile of you.
Log Data
In case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (through Firebase Crashlytics) called Log Data. This Log Data may include details such as your device model, operating system version, the app configuration at the time of the error, and the time and date of the error. This data is used only for error analysis and to improve performance, and is not linked to your identity.
Cookies
Vapend does not use cookies.
Service Providers
We employ the third-party services listed above only to facilitate and improve the app, to perform app-related services, and to help us analyze how the app is used in aggregate. These providers have access only to the limited, non-identifying information needed to perform these tasks and are obligated not to use it for any other purpose.
Security
We value your trust. Because your personal tracking data never leaves your device, it is protected by your device's own security. For the limited anonymous analytics and crash data we do process, we use commercially acceptable means of protection. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
You have the right to access, delete, correct, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where applicable. Because your tracking data lives only on your device, you can delete all of it at any time by using the in-app reset option or by deleting the app. For the anonymous analytics we process, contact us to exercise your rights.

Children's Privacy
Vapend is intended for adults seeking to reduce or quit vaping. The Software does not address anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date. You are advised to review this page periodically.
