Lunar New Year Festival 2025
During the Lunar New Year Festival 2025, VAPA provided entertainment and a visual art activity for children, teens, and some adults. The festival was held at the Henmen Memorial Park on Fairmont and Wightmen on January 24, 25, and 26. The show choir, jazz band and mariachi wowed the audiences! The visual art and theater students volunteered to work the art table. Anyone could come and color images for the Lunar New Year.
Fall Semester Concerts
Dance Performance
During spring break, the Hoover Dance Club performed on April 5 and 6 for transcenDance's annual show. The dancers opened the show and got the crowd pumped up for Let Them: Bloom. The Performing Arts Complex was at capacity for both nights and many of the patrons had never been to Hoover and/or seen the new theater.
This year, ALMA created a new music series, QUADchella. This multiple day performing arts experience allows Hoover's young artists a chance to perform for the whole school in a relaxed setting during lunch. The week before spring break, Hoover students heard from the mariachi program and the jazz band. The last day was an interactive drum activity with paint that any student could participate in.
