This 3-module series is designed to prepare occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant students for the realities of clinical practice. Transitioning from didactic education to clinical education is a difficult change to navigate and these modules aim to help students navigate that. This tool was developed by Teagan McKay, a doctoral capstone student partnered with the VAOTEC.
These modules were originially designed to support students enrolled in the OTA Program at Tidewater Community College, but can serve as a supplemental resource to reinforce foundational knowledge and promote student success, for all OT and OTA students across Virginia. This tool was developed by Alyssa Antolin, a docotral capstone student partnered with TCC.
This 6-module resource is designed to equip occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant students with the tools and resilience skills to overcome any obstacle. This evidence-based resource was developed by Taylor Martin, a capstone student with the VAOTEC, and it demonstrated statistically significant changes in resiliency and coping in students who participated in an online program of instruction and peer interaction.
