By completing this work, I learned about technology and mental health. To be more specific, I learned how we can use technology to help people have good mental health and have a balance between them. There are a lot of resources that are at people's disposal that can be used to ensure their mental health, for example, virtual therapy, online crisis intervention, and mental health apps. In addition, I put into practice methods for gathering, assessing, managing, utilizing, recording, and disseminating data regarding digital citizenship in a way that is morally, legally, and securely acceptable.
My work aligns with ISTE Standard 2.4 because, for the project, I worked with two other students to come up with the final product. We had to come up with a strategy that was efficient for everyone; we set deadlines and stayed in contact throughout the project, asking questions and ideas and verifying the information. We split up the work, and we all contributed equally. I got the chance to work on my collaborating skills, find and exchange ideas and resources, and find solutions to problems.Â
I would apply this in an educational setting by teaching students how to work productively and effectively with others. Since learning how to collaborate effectively with others is a useful skill that students will use in the future I would apply this lesson to describe the different ways that students can collaborate to improve their work, uncover and share resources and ideas, and solve possible challenges.
