It is possible to link ednet Digital Microscope errors to corrupt or obsolete system drivers. Device drivers can break down inexplicably, for various reasons. The good news is that you can often update the device driver to fix the Microscope problem.

It can be difficult to find the exact drivers compatible with your ednet Digital Microscope. You might be a PC veteran, but locating, installing, and manually upgrading ednet Digital Microscope drivers can still take a long time and totally frustrate you. Driver versions that are incorrect will cause more complications with your PC's performance, sometimes causing more damage.

It is strongly recommended to use a driver updating program as updates can be time consuming and complex. An update program not only provides the right drivers that are compatible with your hardware, but it also guarantees that there is a backup of current drivers before any changes are made. Driver backups offer an instant, secure way to restore a driver to an earlier configuration, if needed.

If the driver listed is not the right version or operating system, search our driver archive for the correct version. Enter Ednet AG Ednet 87099 into the search box above and then submit. In the results, choose the best match for your PC and operating system.

Once you have downloaded your new driver, you'll need to install it. In Windows, use a built-in utility called Device Manager, which allows you to see all of the devices recognized by your system, and the drivers associated with them.

I bought a USB microscope from eBay that wasn't supposed to work with Windows 10 but it did. It's supposed to be for XP, Vista and 7 (32bit and 64bit). It's a generic Chinese plug and play device that isn't supposed to require a driver to work. It comes with a driver CD in case it didn't work automatically.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver on the CD. I right clicked the driver and chose Compatibility Mode Windows 7. I tried Compatibility Mode XP (Service pack 3) and the driver installed for 15 minutes (instead of a few minutes) and asked me to reboot as usual but that didn't work either. Instead Device Manager is showing '(Code 18) reinstall driver'. The driver is an InstallScript Setup Launcher so it can't be found.

Driver Management concluded the process to install driver aveodcnt_64.inf_amd64_95dd8c9e1ab283da\aveodcnt_64.inf for Device Instance ID USB\VID_1871&PID_7670&MI_00\6&9DB860&0&0000 with the following status: 0xE0000234.

Welcome to the world of Windows 10. Unfortunately the drivers included with the device will only work up to Windows 7 or possibly 8. Your only hope is to either wait for Windows 10 to supply a driver or revert back to Windows 7 if the upgrade was less than 30 days.

I did a search on the Vendor and Device ID and could not find a Windows 10 driver but I did find the search led me to this page. I can't say the software will install a Windows 10 driver or not. It is up to you if you want to download.

Edit: This is the problem I have with Windows 10. Microsoft specifically says that Windows 10 will be free until your device is no longer supported. Any major Windows 10 update can render your device such as your microscope or printer useless. Since it is no longer supported, you are expected to purchase a new one. With all previous versions of Windows, you knew your device would work until end of support and in this case Windows 7 end of support is 2020 which is another 4 years from now. Personally, if I had a Windows 7 computer, I would refuse the upgrade if I knew I would be purchasing a new computer after 2020.

If your computer has enough RAM then you could install XP using a VM like Virtual Box or VM Player. It would depend on if the VM had the proper USB drivers for the microscope to be detected. Maybe a used laptop with XP would be the better choice. You could probably pick one up for less than a license of XP on ebay.

I just tried this microscope on a Windows 7 64 bit laptop and got the same problem. When I plugged it in, it said it was installing the software, then I got 'Device driver software was not successfully installed'.

On the microscope's driver disc auto.exe, there's a dotnetfx button. When I hover the mouse pointer over it, it says 'Net Framework'. At the end of the manual it states, 'Please click dotnetfx to continue when the NET Framework 2.0 is necessary'.

Does the driver disk include other software for the microscope? That may require .NET Framework 2 to run but I am not sure why to would need .NET to install a driver? It's possible the 32bit version of WIndows 7 had .NET Framework 2 or the driver that installs when attached is only 32bit compatible. On the disk do you see any folders listed as 32bit or 64bit with an included .inf file?

Hi, the driver file has an .exe extension. I opened WinRAR and chose the driver.exe file. If I hit 'Extract To' I get a pop up stating 'No archives found in selected files or folders'. Was that what you meant by extract the contents?

I am pretty much out of ideas on this one, sorry. It's possible some update on Windows 10 caused the problem of it no longer being detected. That is one of the problems with Windows 10, forced updates which also included drivers if you do not disable that feature.

For your Windows 10 computer, right click the exclamation mark, select update driver and point it to the inf file. Make sure you also have the files shown in the inf file. It has the inf extension shown, correct? It still may not work as the driver date is 2010

I'm not sure if it's relevant, but I also opened aveodcnt.inf first in notepad and changed CatalogFile=Aveodcnt_64.cat to CatalogFile=aveodcnt_64.cat and tried the 'Search For Driver Software In This Location - Browse' option which (for the first time) gave me the option to 'install this driver software anyway' but then gave me the 'Driver is not intended for this platform' error.

The Microsoft Digital Microscope drivers are software programs that enable communication between the operating system on your computer and devices. These drivers play a crucial role in ensuring optimal performance and stability of your PC. be457b7860
