Product Quality Engineer Intern

Viewed drawings of over 800 C&MA (Cast and Machined Airfoils) engine parts and applied GD&T skills to assign each one to a part family to complete the catalog, which allows for business decisions to made on the part family level
Pulled data for overdue and upcoming supplier IncCID (Changes in Design) milestones and provided the status to PQE's to troubleshoot quality issues and ensure corrective action
Gathered and updated QEM (Quality Event Management) tracking data to evaluate the amount of escapes for C&MA parts for 12 weeks
Analyzed the CoQ (Cost of Quality) files for June and July for both C&MA and Farmout by deciding if suppliers should be charged for nonconformances and escapes
Assessed five supplier FAI's (First Article Inspections) and recommended corrections / improvements that were reviewed by a PQE before forwarded to the supplier for incorporation
Determined $165,000 savings opportunity by researching engineering and special process charges and interviewing personnel to validate that the engineers were documenting their time to the correct charge numbers
