Hi there! I am Vanessa Fernandez-Rodriguez and I am a Ph.D. candidate in Marine Biology at Texas A&M University at Galveston. I am investigating marine polychaetes since 2012. In this journey, I have had the opportunity to study polychaetes from mangrove forests, estuaries, coral reefs, deep sea (4850 m), and marine biological collections. I currently work with invasive worms at the Marine Invertebrate Lab lead by Dr. Anja Schulze.
When I became a certified diver, my heart fell in love with the beauty of the commonly called "Christmas Three Worms" (Spirobranchus: Serpulidae). Since that moment, I have dedicated my career to marine annelids research in Colombia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
I would love to hear your questions and comments about marine worms. I am always open to networking and collaboration. Welcome to my professional web page!
