The "Day of Giving" is an annual celebration where Robert Morris University invites donors for a dinner and awards ceremony to thank them for their contributions. Upon having my photography accepted, University Advancement invited me to attend the Celebration of Giving, on October 10, 2025, at the UPMC Events Center, from 6 - 8 PM. The celebration will included dinner, a short program and recognition of the student artists. Alumni, donors and university leadership were in attendance. The greeting cards featuring the selected student artworks were distributed at the event.

The Vira I. Heinz Program for Women in Global Leadership Program prepares awardees for tomorrow's global challenges by offering a unique opportunity for global experiences, leadership development and community engagement. Universities and colleges across Pennsylvania participate in the VIH Program. Female-identifying students from each of the participating institutions apply and through a selection process are admitted into the program and receive a scholarship of at least $5,000 to apply toward the cost of a summer global experience that is a least 28 days in duration. The VIH Program is exclusively for students who have no previous global experience with very few exceptions. Program specifics may vary year to year, but the generous funding provided by The Heinz Endowments is at the core of empowering our students to embark on a meaningful international learning opportunity as part of their leadership journey.
