Welcome to my webpage!
I am a Lead Economist at the Research Department of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan.
My research centers on international trade, multinational production, and market power. One strand examines how multinational corporations' location and sourcing decisions shape employment, trade patterns, and structural transformation. A second studies how firms' cross-border networks of buyers and suppliers generate market power, affecting markups and prices along global value chains. More recently, I have been studying how shocks — natural disasters, sudden tariff changes — propagate through these firm networks across borders.
Fields of Interest: International Economics, International Trade, Multinational Firms.
