I am a professional physicist that plays with magnets all day!
I am a physicist specializing in magnetic resonance. On this website you will find more words pertaining to my professional research interests, both a tabular and narrative CV, my scientific publications and some hobby projects I have been working on in my spare time.
Having a Bachelors degree in Biopharmaceutical Sciences, a Masters degree in Medicinal Chemistry, and a PhD that combined synthetic organic chemistry with material sciences and a smidgeon of DFT computations, I entered the field of magnetic resonance relatively late in my career. It started with a short post-doc in Manchester, in the group of Gareth Morris, after which I moved to Göttingen to work as a post-doc for 3 years in the EPR group of Marina Bennati at the Max Planck Institute, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in the group of Lucio Frydman at the Weizmann Institute of Science. I am currently working on the development of Ultrafast NMR experiments and have a particular interest in Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP).
