These parking lots accept credit card, and PayByPhone (Android / iPhone).
Free street parking can be found just outside of Vanier Park (Chestnut St. and surrounding area).

Format

Each crew is guaranteed one 5km race each and, in the event your team finishes in the top two positions in your heat, you will be invited to participate in a shorter 2km sprint-style final!

We anticipate that the Open category will race on Saturday, and all other categories will race on Sunday.

Steers Meeting & Marshalling
Steers Meeting & Marshalling
Steers/Safety Meetings will be 30 minutes prior to the start of each heat in the vicinity of the dock and is mandatory for all steers.
NEED A STEERSPERSON? We can provide one for you! Just let us know when you register.
If your crew is using a provided steers, please ensure another member from your crew also attends the meeting.
Following the steers meeting, crews will immediately marshal by the boat launch where they will be directed to the appropriate canoes.
The event may run ahead... Please arrive a minimum of 1 hour prior to your heat.

Canoes are provided.
Racers are encouraged to bring their own paddles and PFDs. However, a limited number of both will be available should you require.
All paddlers MUST WEAR A PFD
If you are not wearing a PFD, your team will be disqualified.
If you are wearing a Vaikobi PFD, you must also have a CSA approved PFD in the canoe.
First Aid attendants will be available onsite and safety boats will be stationed on on the course.

Support Vancouver VA'A's bursary program by purchasing baked goods by donation on site.
The Bake Sale will be stationed in the compound by the Registration desk.

Water available onsite but we request that racers bring their own reusable bottles.
Washroom facilities available onsite (porta-potties).
No change rooms available. Ensure all team members are dressed for the weather.
