Teaching

Courses Taught by Ethan Van Arnam

Advanced Laboratory in Chemistry (Chem126L)

In this advanced laboratory course, students develop skills designing experiments, operating core chemistry instruments, analyzing and responding to unexpected results, and communicating science.

Biochemistry (Biol/Chem177)

In this lecture course, students apply their knowledge of chemistry to develop an understanding of biology at a molecular level.

General Chemistry Lecture and Lab (Chem15L)

In this second semester introductory chemistry course students develop and apply concepts in kinetics, thermodynamics, equilibrium, and electrochemistry, and in lab students develop core skills doing chemistry experiments, analyzing data, and communicating results.

Integrated Biology and Chemistry (Biol/Chem42L)

This team-taught introductory course covers the content of Chem15L and Biol43 and emphasizes the overlap between chemistry and biology.
