With Vamp Anthem, it seems like Carti tries way too hard to acknowledge the vampire aesthetic by recreating a classic "vampire sound" with shitty synths and horrible mixing, which is incredibly draining to listen to. I'm of the opinion that out of all of Carti's songs, this is his only truly bad one. The mystique of the vampire/rockstar theme that had been carried on for over a year and a half prior to the release of WLR, and for some reason Carti and his team wanted to include a track that felt completely corny and resembled an idea a 35 year old white guy would have when tasked with creating an album of a similar theme. It felt like Carti said "hey look at me, I am acknowledging the vampire stuff with this cool vampire track, this is so vampire of me."
