Zoom Meetings
Zoom Directions for Students
Zoom is an app used to make video calls and conferences. Your teacher may communicate with you via video calls through this app.
Download the Zoom app from Self Service (If you need help in doing so click here).
There are two ways to join in a meeting:
Open the Zoom app and tap Join
Enter the meeting ID your teacher sent you, then click Join. In this step check that your display name right underneath the meeting ID, so your teacher can easily find out who is trying to join the meetings.
Click on the link your teacher sends or posts. Tap Open to open the meeting in the Zoom app.
You will be prompted how you would like to join the meeting. Click Join with Video. This will allow your teacher and others in the meeting to see you.
Click on Call using Internet Audio. This allows for the iPad to connect to the audio of the meeting. This step is important or you won't be able to hear the audio of the meeting.
Tips:
Use headphones during Zoom meetings to minimize background noise
Be sure to check your display name before joining the meeting, so your teacher knows who is trying to join.
