Valley of the Moon Pétanque Club
How it started in Sonoma 35 years ago:
In the late 1980s, pétanque was introduced to local players John Bouldt, Pierre Joske and John Kemble, through Sonoma's Sister City relationship with the French village Chambolle-Musigny. These boulistes organized the Valley of the Moon Pétanque Club and soon, pétanque became a part of wine country living.
