I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Michigan, working on energy storage systems, with Prof Anna Stefanopoulou and Dr Jason Siegel. My thesis, Mathematical Modelling of Lead-Acid Batteries, was supervised by Prof Jon Chapman, Prof Colin Please, Prof Charles Monroe and Prof David Howey.

I am broadly interested in using model-order reduction methods (such as asymptotic analysis) to develop fast and accurate electrochemical models for batteries and fuel cells, and developing hybrid physics-based/data-driven methods for state estimation and prognostics.

I am also the creator and a core developer of the open-source battery modeling package PyBaMM.

Outside of work, I'm a keen cyclist, and have previously been an active runner, swimmer and rower. Follow me on Strava!
