Never too old to start pole. There are people in their 60's to this day who are competing in competitions right up to their 70's!
Best to wear at least a singlet and pair of short shorts or booty shorts for your first class as it is necessary to grip to the pole. Bike shorts are fine for your first class if this makes you feel comfortable as you only need the area behind your knee (popliteal) to grip to the pole at this stage.
Our course start from ABSOLUTE beginner and the course are designed in a sequence to build up you strength level by level no matter what your fitness level to become your personal best of a pole dancer!
Ah that old chestnut! You may have heard that pole dancing can cause some temporary bruises or as we like to call them "pole kisses" of where you have conditioned your skin on the pole (to grip to the pole) in the initial stages your skin can be tender in trying out a new move for the first time but this stage is very temporary and you will learn to embrace the pain as it is kind of like "confusion" before finally learning thus adjusting to the new position.
