Meet the Coaches

Coach Julian returns this year as Varsity Head Coach and oversees both the Varsity and JV Boys Lacrosse teams. Coach Julian began playing lacrosse his freshman year of high school after learning about the game from relatives who played on the East Coast. He is an alumni of Valencia High School, having graduated in 2017, and played all four years of high school. Coach Julian was recruited to play NCAA DII at Notre Dame de Namur University, where he played defense and goalie which he also played in high school. After moving back to Santa Clarita, he decided to pursue coaching and found a home with his alma mater. He was an assistant coach for the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 school years and was promoted to Head Coach in the fall of 2021.

Coach Julian’s philosophy, when it comes to coaching, is centered around camaraderie and maintaining a positive atmosphere while still accomplishing goals along the way. He believes that allowing players to develop their own personal style and fostering creativity and adaptability is the key to becoming a great lacrosse player. When he is not doing something lacrosse related, he enjoys spending time with family and friends.

“The game of lacrosse has played a huge role in my life. Lacrosse changed my life completely for the better and allowed me to develop relationships with people that I still have to this day. Now that I’ve shifted my focus to coaching, I want to be able to provide that same opportunity to my players and hopefully do the same for them that the game has done for me.” ~ Coach Julian
