XYZ Game Fest is a special event divided into two major parts: the pre-competition and XYZ Game Fest: Game Never Gets Old.
The pre-competition is an event we held leading up to our main event, XYZ Game Fest. This pre-competition was created to raise awareness about our event. However, beyond that, our other goal was to use the pre-competition as a space for trial and error so that we wouldn't repeat the same mistakes on the main day of XYZ Game Fest. In the pre-competition, we held a tournament featuring a popular e-sport among young people today, Mobile Legends. The winner of the pre-competition would receive a cash prize and a free slot to compete in our main event, XYZ Game Fest.
XYZ Game Fest took place on December 1-2, 2018, at Art Space The Breeze, BSD. This event was the grand finale of the entire XYZ Game Fest series. The event was divided into three zones: Zone X, Zone Y, and Zone Z. As planned, Zone X featured an exhibition of games that were popular in their time, such as Ding Dong and Pac-Man. Meanwhile, in Zone Y, we showcased console games and the games popular during Generation Y. Zone Z had the main stage, and visitors could also try playing games using virtual reality. Not only were there game exhibitions, but our event also included a Wall of Game that provided explanations about games from Generations X, Y, and Z.
At our main event, in addition to the game exhibitions, there were also competitions for Mobile Legends, FIFA, and Clash Royale. We also had exciting guest stars from the gaming community participating in a talk show. The tenants filling our bazaar area further enhanced the attraction for visitors, especially with the immersive decorations that added to the excitement in the XYZ Game Fest area. The first day of XYZ Game Fest was attended by approximately 600 people (headcount), while the second day was attended by around 400 people (visitor flow count).
