This is a project as part of my studies at Audio Production Academy. The assignment here was to compose music for an existing trailer, combining orchestral elements with synthesized elements. I chose to go with the trailer for the game "Gris" and put emphasis on making the music describe how I interpreted the trailer, timing cuts and events to the tempo and intensity of the music.
This composition is from a group assignment during the composition course at Audio Production Academy. I worked together with two colleagues from the program, re-writing the game music for two gameplay segments from the game “Ghost of Tsushima”. Our primary focus on this assignment was to think non-linearly and dynamic, as if writing and implementing music for stealth and combat, blending these two states seemlessly, while also capturing the aesthetics and setting of the game.
Here is a small collection of some short compositions and music exercises.
As you can hopefully hear, my expertise and biggest musical interests lie in orchestral, cinematic and highly emotional music, taking a lot of inspiration from famous film music composers such as Danny Elfman, Alan Silvestri and Ennio Morricone, but also from various Opera composers, eg. Giacomo Puccini, Richard Wagner and Giuseppe Verdi.
My burning passion is telling stories and conveying emotions through music and sound!
