Sun and Space Weather prediction Group (SSWG)

Welcome to the Sun and the Space Weather Prediction Group (SSWG) at the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. 

I am the group leader of this group. The members of this group are involved in understanding the physical phenomena responsible for the heating of the solar corona and, acceleration of the solar wind. We study these phenomena by observing the Sun through space and ground-based telescopes as well as by creating numerical models. 

The group is also involved in understanding the properties of the solar eruptions, such as solar flares and coronal mass ejections. We investigate these eruptions using observational data from different telescopes, constructing numerical models, and developing AI/ML models.
