I am an Optimization Director at GridBeyond, working at the intersection of energy markets, advanced optimization, and technical product development.
My experience spans academia and industry, with a strong focus on virtual power plants, battery storage, renewable co-location, EVs, microgrids, and industrial energy optimization. I work on building practical modelling and optimization solutions for complex energy assets and market participation across ERCOT, CAISO, PJM, Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, and Japan.
My technical interests include electricity markets, demand response, transactive energy management, asset valuation, hedging, risk management, and process optimization for industrial facilities such as cement plants and CHP systems.
I hold B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Power Engineering and have previously held research roles at University College Cork, the University of Salerno, and North China Electric Power University. I have published widely in the field and contributed as a reviewer and editor for leading journals.
