Our Executive Board and Conference Planning Committee are busy meeting and planning the return of our Annual Conference. We cannot wait to be back on the University of Richmond campus and join together again in our love for Forensics, Theatre, and Debate. Soon you should receive an email requesting breakout session ideas, coach of the year nominations, and Executive Board nominations. Coach of the Year and Officer Nominations Info:
Nominees for Forensics, Theatre, and Debate COTY must be members in good standing for the 2019-2020 school year, and cannot have been awarded a COTY in that activity within the previous five cycles. We ask you to nominate ONE person for each category and provide a brief explanation as to why. You may leave any nomination category blank. Members in good standing are included on the form. You are welcome to nominate yourself.
2020 is an election year for the Executive Board. Officers of the VAFTDC play a vital role in directing the organization and managing the annual conference. Please nominate ONE individual for each position, and provide a brief explanation for your nomination. You may leave any nomination category blank. You may nominate the same individual for multiple positions. You are welcome to nominate yourself. Descriptions of responsibilities are in the Google Form.

As current members of the organization, membership dues have been waived for this school year (2020-2021). Dear Coaches,
We will certainly miss the annual conference this year. We all agree that the best part is networking and helping each other. On Saturday, September 19th we will host a virtual business meeting where we will vote for the new board, update by laws, and announce the coaches of the year. Afterward, there will be a Discussion Room for each event- Forensics, Theatre, and Debate. Please make sure to keep an eye on Facebook and Instagram. All dates, changes, and information will be posted there. Don't hesitate to reach out to Jessie- Historian- with any questions or suggestions.
Membership: Dues for 2019-2020 will roll over to the next year. New members who wish to vote, submit nominations, or run for office must pay the $25 membership fee.
