The VAFTDC holds its annual membership meeting and conference in early Fall. The conference offers a multitude of informational sessions and professional development to coaches of all tenure and ability levels.
The annual conference also hosts rules clinics in Forensics, Theatre, and Debate for compliance with the Virginia High School League.
The conference will be held September 19-20, 2025 at the Brightpoint Community College campus located in Chester, VA . See below for list of hotels.
Attendees may:
--- Obtain up to eight Continuing Education Credits for attending workshops.
--- Take advantage of all three VHSL Rules Clinics which will be presented on site.
--- Help grow your coaching skills by attending workshops and round table sessions in your coaching area.
--- Learn how to incorporate 21st century communication skills into core class curricula.
--- Participate in various fundraising activities to raise money for the Jenny Bradley Scholarship, including door prizes and a raffle
REGISTRATION OPENS AUGUST 1, 2025 | The September conference is $150 which does include the membership fee.

We will be voting for Coach of the Year. Please consider your nominations for Coach of the Year in each category: Forensics, Theatre, and Debate. Consider nominating those around you that deserve recognition for their contributions and successes in each category. Nominees must be a member in good standing of the organization. Look for a nomination form for Exec Board and Leadership this Fall!
Membership: New members who wish to vote, submit nominations, or run for office must pay the $25 membership fee.
