HPV Education and Co-Design Workshops

The NY Vaccine Literacy Campaign (VLC) collaborated with a group of teens at the Boys and Girls Club of Harlem (BGCH) on an HPV vaccine education co-design program. One-hour workshops were held weekly for five weeks during March-April 2023. The VLC provided BGCH teens with HPV information and vaccine education. During the co-design workshops, teens engaged in activities to develop a suite of resources, including this website, that provide HPV and HPV vaccine information to their peers. Each session was followed by an evaluation to collect the teens’ reflections on the workshop implementation as well as the co-design content. At the end of the program, teens were awarded certificates as Vaccine Literacy Peer Advisors.
