"A Carter Thermo-Quad Guide" is a reference guide for the Carter Thermo-Quad carburetors. The document was originally created in 1998. I wrote it as a part of my car hobby to provide an application and reference guide. It has found its way around the Internet in various places and forms. Although not titled as such, it has become informally known as the "Vaanth Thermo-Quad Guide".The document is not a repair or rebuild guide, nor a major modification guide, but its information can assist in those areas.
This site holds the original "A Carter Thermo-Quad Guide" and updated versions of that document. Following are the descriptions of the versions of the document. Use the links in the descriptions or at the top of this page to access the documents.
NOTE: The site contents are constructed for desktop or laptop computer browser viewing. Mobile viewing might be distorted. The documents are best viewed with the Google Chrome browser, especially the text versions. Other browsers might not display in fixed width font for the text presentation of spacing and diagrams.
Version 1: The original document was published on 24 February 1998. The original document was incomplete due to lack of information at that time for some Thermo-Quad numbers, applications, and other details. It was written specifically in text for simple portability and dissemination on the Mopar Mailing List (MML) list server at the time of its original publication. This version is fully replaced by later versions, but is included here too, complete with original errors and gaps.
Version 2.0: With more collected information and experience, the original version from 1998 has been updated, corrected, and expanded to become the Version 2 document. Version 2 is still in a pure text form.
Version 3.0: Version 2.0 was reformatted in simple HTML as Version 3.0. The content is the same as version 2.
Version 3.1: Version 3.0 was further converted to Google Docs as Version 3.1 to work properly here within Google Sites.
Version 4.0: This version is to be a full web version with expanded content, images, real diagrams, etc. Version 4 is under construction.
