Connect-Learn-Grow: Smoke and Mirrors about VA Cannabis and Counseling Practice
This professional development event was hosted in the form of a panel discussion, featuring leading experts in clinical practice, counselor education, and advocacy driven organizations. This discussion was an engaging and productive dialogue to better understand how the recent policy changes pertaining to cannabis in Virginia will impact our counseling community and practice. Attendees were able to connect with leading experts and other counseling professionals in the field of addiction treatment and mental healthcare services, learned about trends, expectations, and the clinical impact surrounding cannabis use in Virginia, and attendees enhanced their counseling knowledge related to addiction treatment and mental healthcare services.
