We are a protein biochemistry research group at Texas Woman's University found in 2019. While thinking about a unique name, we found "V6 Bioenergetics". This name is after our ATP synthase (the energy generator in cells) project and six founder members.
What We Do
We do biochemical and biophysical research in ATP synthase and P-type ATPase. Our studies are able to contribute more information to elucidate the functions and mechanism of those two enzymes in order to further discover whether these enzymes would become potential targets for new medicine molecules.
Other than protein research, we develop new methodologies in cellular and molecular biology (gene clone and mutagenesis). By adopting coding languages, we design algorithms to facilitate data processing and automation for biochemical and structural biological research.
