Bienvenidos y bienvenidas a mi portafolio electrónico.

My name is Veronica Cora-Castillo. I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Romance Studies at Duke University, specializing in the Spanish and Latin American track.

Born and raised on the shores of Puerto Rico, my academic journey has been shaped by the dedication to exploring cultural and racial relationships in Hispanic and Lusophone American literature.

For the past five years, I have taught Spanish language courses during my master's degree at Texas Tech University and my second and third years of Ph.D. studies at Duke University. As a teaching assistant for various classes, I look forward to teaching literature and culture courses to students in the near future.

In my teaching practice, I emphasize creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment that fosters both linguistic proficiency and cultural awareness.
