Data Sharing

UzGram does not sell personal data.

Data may be transmitted through Telegram service infrastructure as necessary to provide messaging and related functionality. Content and location information shared by a user may be visible to the chat participants, story viewers, channels, groups, or other recipients selected by that user.

When a user enables or uses a location-related feature, relevant location data may also be provided to bots, Mini Apps, map, place-search, geocoding, weather, or external navigation services required to provide that feature.

Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or a valid legal process.

Location Data

UzGram may access and process approximate and precise location data, including location inferred from an IP address, to provide location-related features such as sending a current location, live location sharing, displaying maps and nearby places, location-enabled bots and Mini Apps, story location and weather features, business or group addresses, external navigation, and automatic night-theme settings.

With the user’s permission, UzGram may collect location data in the background, including when the app is closed or not in use, to keep a live-location session started by the user active for the selected duration or until the user stops it.

Depending on the feature selected by the user, location data may be transmitted through Telegram service infrastructure and may be visible to selected chat participants or story viewers. Location data may also be provided to bots, Mini Apps, map, place-search, geocoding, weather, or external navigation services necessary to provide the selected feature.

When location-related media features are used, UzGram may read embedded location metadata from photos or videos selected by the user.

Live-location transmission ends when its selected duration expires or when the user stops sharing. Stopping live location does not automatically delete a previously sent location message. Users can delete the message separately. Some settings and cached location information, such as coordinates used for the automatic night theme, may remain on the device until the relevant settings, application data, or application are cleared.

Users can deny or revoke location permission in Android settings, select approximate location where Android supports this option, stop live-location sharing, and revoke location access previously granted to supported bots or Mini Apps. Disabling location access may limit location-related features.
