We have a very good base of foods planned, so truly, anything you would like to bring is great. Dessert, chips, fruit, cheese & crackers, are a few thoughts for additional items.
If you are at a loss for what to bring, an extra contribution toward the shelter fee/donation to Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, would work too.
If anyone needs a contact on the day of the picnic, you can reach Korey Kopp at 608-575-1244.
We are having a picnic at Menominee Park in Oshkosh on July 15, 2025 and have Shelter 2 reserved for the day.
This picnic is being planned by people who attended UW-O in the early to mid 1980's, but anyone connected to the music department is welcome.
⭐ NEWLY ADDED - We have a tour of the Arts and Communication Center (AC) scheduled for 9:00 a.m. with Nathan Krueger, the Music Department Chair. Meet in the lobby of Music Hall. The AC is located at 800 Algoma Blvd.
Menominee Park is located on the shore of Lake Winnebago and is bordered by Hazel St. and Merrit Ave. The park doesn't seem to have an actual address, but you can use the address for the Menominee Park Zoo which is 520 Siewert Trail. Maps and other park information is provided here.
Shelter 2 has a capacity of 60, so spread the word to any music people you are in touch with. Everyone is welcome!! The shelter has electricity and restrooms available.
This is a potluck picnic - bring food or beverage to share. As we get closer to the picnic, a spreadsheet will be shared to help with food planning. Stay tuned, but mark your calendars now!!
There was a fee of $68 to reserve the park shelter. Korey Kopp (Flute, performance major) will be collecting donations to cover the cost of the shelter and anything over $60 will be donated to Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services in Oshkosh, which is named in honor of our classmate Chris Clark (Horn, Education Major).
