UWKGM Platform

Features

Modular Service
- In this demo, we demonstrate the modular feature of UWKGM where a user adds and manage a new functionality API.
- Scenario: This is the feature demonstrate how a user create a newly craft functionality in UWKGM as Restful API:
  - The user creates a new package named ‘map’.
  - The user creates a new API package with the same name. The API package is part of the new package.
  - The user adds a new endpoint function to the API package.
  - The new endpoint function produces the result as expected.
  - The user compiles and exports the package as a compressed file.

Scenario: This is the feature demonstrate how a user manage existing functionalities in UWKGM
- Another user installs the package using the compressed file in their deployment.
- The installed package produces the result as expected.

KG Curation
- In this demo, we demonstrate KG curation in 2 scenarios. In the first scenario, the triple is manually created by an end-user with the support of the platform's functionalities such as entity recommendation. In the second scenario, the triple is automatically extracted from raw data as the candidates. The end-user then selects the suitable candidate and fill it into the KG. All automated functionalities are provided from RESTful APIs of the service platform.
- Scenario:
  - The user studies common entities between "Barack Obama" and "Donald Trump."
  - The user adds a new triple, which indicates that Barack Obama was born in the United States.
  - The user types in a sentence and the system produces the candidates of triples. The user then edits an existing triple to indicate that Donald Trump was born in the United States instead of New York City.
  - The user commits both changes and uses the visualization tool to verify that "Barack Obama" and "Donald Trump" now have a common entity which indicates that both were born in the United States.
  - The user deletes the triple which indicates that "Barack Obama" was born in the United States.
  - The user uses the visualization tool to verify that the common entity between "Barack Obama" and "Donald Trump" has been removed.

Administration
- In this demo, we demonstrate the administrative use case where the different users add, edit and delete knowledge. We then present the role of an administrator (knowledge engineer) to verify and commit knowledge to data storage, particularly KG.
- Scenario:
  - The first user "foo" logs in and checks for common entities that connect "Barack Obama" and "Donald Trump."
  - User "foo" adds a new triple, which indicates that Barack Obama was born in the United States.
  - User "foo" logs out.
  - The second user "bar" logs in and edits an existing triple to indicate that Donald Trump was born in the United States instead of New York City.
  - User "bar" logs out.
  - The third user "admin," who has the administrative priviledge, logs in and then commits the changes made by "foo" and "bar."
  - User "admin" uses the visualization tool to verify that "Barack Obama" and "Donald Trump" now have a common entity which indicates that both were born in the United States.
  - User "admin" deletes the triple which indicates that "Barack Obama" was born in the United States.
  - User "admin" uses the visualization tool to verify that the common entity between "Barack Obama" and "Donald Trump" has been removed.

Visualization
