Our Achievements
The NGO is proud of achievements attained since its establishment including the following:-
· Trust among the stakeholders including national leaders, community members, tour operators, general public, and development partners built,
· Participation of UWEMAJO members in Planning, management and decision making on Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park enhanced,
· Mechanism for sustainable resource use improved and disseminated
· Awareness of natural resource Management improved,
· Income poverty reduced,
· Eco-tourism promoted,
· Alternative Income Generating projects established,
· Forest encroachments evicted,
· Research activities and training conducted,
· “Jikomboe na umasikini” newsletter registered.
· New office built.
