Title : Urban Surface – Aerosol – Atmosphere Interactions and Their Role in Modulating Rainfall
Impact Statement: This research aims to understand how urban heat island dynamics affect aerosol behavior and their subsequent influence on precipitation patterns over Indian cities. The study integrates the WRF model and machine learning approaches to analyze complex land–atmosphere interactions, contributing to improved urban climate and precipitation modeling.

Title : Slope Stability Analysis of Embankments for Mine Tailings Disposal
Impact Statement: This study addresses the need for slope stability assessment of mine tailings embankments in Goa, where mining activity poses significant environmental and human risk. By integrating field investigation, laboratory testing, and numerical modeling using MIDAS GTS NX, the project aims to identify failure mechanisms and support the design of safer, sustainable embankments to mitigate risks from toxic mine tailings.
