3D Printers
The Club is fortunate to have access to a pair of 3D printers. The first is a Bambu P1S which was purchased with the support of IEEE as well as 10 kg of filament. Users are welcome to come use the printer please note that the club only stocks PLA and if users wish to print with other plastics will need to bring their own filament. There is a iMac setup beside the printer which is configured to automatically login. From here users can access Bambu Studio to slice and start prints. Alternatively users may use the microSD card. IF THERE ARE ANY ISSUES PLEASE CONTACT THE EXECUTIVE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THE PRINTER YOURSELF!!!
We are also fortunate to have a Creality Halot ONE Resin Printer and Curing Station. The club recieved this as a donation as well as some resin. Due to the cost we will not be stocking additional resin however members are free to bring resin and use our printer. Before use please make sure the windows are open and put up some signage to notify people that a resin print is in progress. If there are any spills please cleanup after yourself.
Laser Engraver
The Club has been donated a K40 Laser Engraver. We are asking that if members wish to use the engraver that they reach out to the Executive first. When in use please make sure there is adequate signage to indicate that it is in use. There are no built in safety mechanisms to ensure that the lid is closed during use. It is also vital that the cooling for the laser tube is functional to prevent damage.
IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES, QUESTIONS, AND OR CONCERNS STOP AND REACH OUT TO THE EXECUTIVE
