The beauty of the lanterns is the start of an exploration.  Think about what is behind these social activities and explore further - one can start by simply changing the google tab from 'Images' search to 'All' search.

These lanterns, and their festivals, have interesting names that are fun to learn.  To get the images for each lantern tradition, we put that info, and other keywords into a shared google spreadsheet to create a simple database that most people will be able to view.  Each row in the traditional lantern spreadsheet is for a different lantern tradition.  

We'd be happy to receive similar information for any religious lantern tradition that is not on the list - you will not be able to add to the spreadsheet yourself, but you can send the info to Doug or Ashley and we will add that row to the google spreadsheet.
