I joined Meharry Medical College as an associate professor of cybersecurity in the School of Applied Computational Sciences in January 2022.
Earlier, I worked as an assistant professor of the practice in the Department of Computer Science at Vanderbilt University since January 2018.
I obtained my Master’s of Science and doctorate in electronics and electrical communication engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India in 2009 and 2013 respectively.
I have post-doctoral experiences at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, Fordham University, and Tennessee State University.

June 2024: I received a grant from NSF HBCU-EiR.
May 2024: I received best paper award from IEEE ICC 2024 Workshop.
April 2024: I received a renewal grant from TMCF Novartis.
February 2024: I am selected for the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Visiting Faculty Program - Faculty program at the Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) for the Summer 2024 Term.
April '23: I received a grant from TMCF for working on a heart health prediction framework.
March '23: I am selected for the Visiting Faculty Research Program (VFRP) fellowship at Griffiss Institute/Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) in Rome, NY for the Summer 2023 Term.
