The Student Senate holds all legislative powers in Student Government. Senate consists of eighty voting seats. Sixty-four seats are reserved for elected senators, and sixteen are reserved for appointed senators. Elected seats left vacant may be filled by appointed senators.
Elected senators are voted in by the student body to serve for two sessions.
Appointed senators are appointed by the president to serve for the session in which they were appointed.
