Here is a list of rooms on the UTS campus which are ideal for running whiteboard workshops: (In order of preference, 3rd floor Building 10 are the best)
CB10.03.450 6 large boards, tables and chairs on wheels
CB10.03.460 6 large boards, tables and chairs on wheels
CB10.03.470 6 large boards, tables and chairs on wheels
CB10.03.480 6 large boards, tables and chairs on wheels
CB10.02.420 (Mac Lab) 6 large boards
CB10.02.430 (PC Lab) 6 large boards
CB10.02.460 (PC Lab) 6 large boards
Less boards: CB10.02.440 (PC Lab) 5 large boards
Note: the computer labs are ok, albeit a little bit cramped because of all the computer desks. These are usually not booked especially the Mac lab, or are booked for just one time for the whole semester (which blocks out the timeslot for the whole semester)
Note:
CB10.03.440 is currently occupied by International Office and unavailable as a teaching space. Otherwise it would be ideal having 6 large whiteboards on 3 sides.
CB06.04.040 Massive room in building 6 with lots of space, medium sized whiteboard (about 10-12 of them) - could fit up to about 50+ students - boards have now been removed and replaced by large TV monitors.
UTS Room Bookings are here (to check availability before you try to request) https://staff.uts.edu.au/topichub/Pages/Campus%20systems%20and%20facilities/Room%20bookings/Room-bookings.aspx; access via https://vpn.uts.edu.au/ if off campus.
Note: the below rooms are not YET suitable, but could be if extra boards are installed.
Here is a list of rooms that I have requested to have whiteboards installed, but no reply yet.
CB04.04.321, CB04.03.341 these are large rooms where 5 large boards can be installed in addition to the 2 large boards already on the "front" side.
CB04.04.310, CB04.04.320 these are computer labs with space available on 3 large walls for 6 large whiteboards to be installed. This would not interfere with the computer desks which do not touch the walls. Then these rooms can have a dual purpose.
CB06.04.037 already has 6 large whiteboards on 2 walls (spaced quite close together). Would work if further 2-3 boards were installed on the "front" wall to accommodate 30-40 students working spread around the room.
CB10.02.450 is the same room layout as the other level 2 rooms, but needs two large whiteboards to be installed on the side wall.
