Waste to Energy, Catalysis and Advanced Reaction Engineering Research Group (WéCARE ITB-UTP) is a group that focused on promoting the scientific advancement of clean energy and green engineering. The expertise and current research interests involve the application of chemical engineering fundamentals such as reaction engineering, kinetics, and mass transfer to energy and environment fields. The Objective of the research consists of Waste to Energy Conversion and Product Development, Biofuel Production, and Catalytic Conversion.

The expertise and current research interests involve the application of chemical engineering fundamentals such as reaction engineering, kinetics, and mass transfer to energy and environment fields. The Objective of the research consists of Waste to Energy Conversion and Product Development, Biofuel Production, and Catalytic Conversion.
Our strategy is to apply the chemical engineering principles to various energy and environmental issues. We have built a team of top graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who are dedicated to the objectives of our projects, perform innovative research, establish partnerships and international collaborations. Our strategy to tackle and solve energy and environmental problems has been materialized by research activities through the support of RMC UTP, YUTP, local/state government and industry.

COMMUNITY ENGADGEMENT PROJECT by UTP MPU4 STUDENTS GROUP & WéCARE
Moo-nure Power is a part of MPU4 subject where we convert cow dung into biogas for cooking purpose. The project was held at Cattle Farm by Viridix, Sg Siput, Perak, within 4 months period from May to August 2019. During the project, 18 students were participated. They come from from Chemical Engineering and Civil Engineering Faculty, UTP supervised by Dr. Aqsha, Miss Nurul Izzah binti Muhamad Ridwan and Dr Rohani binti Salleh. The main objective of this program is to promote the waste utilization into renewable energy amongst native residents of Perak and to enlighten the locals/students around the area on the importance of it. The project is supported by Centre for Student Development (CSD) UTP and some funding from Yayasan Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (YUTP).
