A project that mainly aims to preserve the historical significance of the structures while giving them a modern and relevant appearance. Therefore, as an Architecture Student, we would required to revitalize the facade of existing old shop lots, and design in a vernacular design language, preferably using timber construction, and tailored to the current tenants of the shop lots, located in a heritage area along Bandar Hilir, Melaka.
A project that mainly focuses on conducting a comprehensive site inventory and site analysis for a common site shared by two workbases in Melaka. The objective is to equip students with a holistic understanding of their site's potential and constraints, before leading to individual architectural proposals later for main and final Project 2B.
