This constraint allows for the setting of a minimum radius of curvature at an airfoil's leading edge (LE). It attempts to find the LE (see limitations below) and then calculates the radius of curvature on the patch where it believes the LE is. It is activated with jtstrm%LERad_cnstrnt = .true. and the input file leradius.dat. The leradius.dat file is structured as follows.
The first column specifies the spanwise location in y/b at which the constraints are applied. The second (optional) column specifies the minimum radius. If it is blank or -1, then the initial value is used.
Be careful if using this constraint when the surface is not centered vertically within the FFD. It may assume that the LE is at the xi(3) = 0.5 in the FFD.
