Summer Biology Research Workshop (SBRW) allows 10th, 11th and 12th graders a unique opportunity to explore the various aspects of biological sciences through a 4 -week hands-on experience in cutting-edge research projects in the laboratories of the Department of Biological Sciences, along with exposure to potential careers in biology and medicine, and individual research mentored by UTD faculty.
How much does it cost?
The registration fee is $2000 per camper for SBRW 2026. This includes all research material costs and a grand final poster presentation and lunch for campers and attending family members.

June 5th - June 12th: Essentials of molecular and modern biology-Hands-on experience with the tools of the trade in a biology laboratory led by UTD teaching faculty and graduate students.
June 15th – July 3rd: Individual Research Experience – Discovery research project supervised by UTD research faculty and mentored by graduate students.

JANUARY 22nd – MARCH 15th, 2026: Submission of applications.
APRIL 7th, 2026: Accepted participants will be notified, and registration and payment links will be sent.
