Dear god,
I am not under the impression that everything I come across has been designed for me, and you, and everyone else.
I have seen more than one sky - I have looked up at an outdoorsman's sky from an open field near my home, I've seen sky in different parts of the world from a bus window, or airplane floor; it's not always perfect but it is always beautiful and complex. I have seen more than one night too. Sometimes they are calm with only a few stars shining through the city lights. Other times it is dark as hell with all of the stars out. I have been disappointed by the sky a few times too. But overall I would not want to live anywhere that does not have a near-perfect sky.
It's the same for everything else in this world, whether it is a tree or human beings. You can see miles and miles of branches and trunks from ground level, then you stand up on top of a tall tree and experience a whole other world in that one view. I have looked up at a human being's face for too long, and I know that it still has the same number of features and holes as any other human face - nothing special or particularly noteworthy. I have seen my own skin in a mirror too many times, and I know it still has the same number of pores, wrinkles or blemishes as my fellow guardians of this earth.
We all have to die one day. But why do we need religion with that? What purpose does it serve when the end is just one more stage in an infinite pattern?
I have seen more than one god - maybe you have too, without realizing it.
There are gods, god with a beard and a man's body, god with an all-powerful presence so great you can feel his eyes on you even when he is not there. But then there are the greater gods of everyday life: those wearing white robes in the hospital, those that risk their lives rescuing people in fire and those that sweep the roads to keep the city clean.
People always thank god when people are rescued yet blame the humans when anything goes wrong. What if it is the god’s will to take the lives away? Why not blame the god for doing that instead?
I am a free thinker and I have full control of my own life. Science will always be the reason behind everything that happened. Improved medical technologies are saving lives while improved weapon technologies are taking lives away.
So tell me, is it technology these days or god that is in control of everyone’s life?
