Focusing on urban climate adaptation and sustainable development, the Institute utilizes its Environmental Simulation Laboratory to generate scientific data that supports climate adaptation strategies, urban sustainability initiatives, and evidence-based policy planning. As climate change is inherently an interdisciplinary issue, the Institute integrates research across multiple scientific domains to achieve comprehensive analysis and understanding.
Through advanced simulation technologies, researchers assess the impacts of extreme weather events on urban environments, providing scientific insights that assist governments in formulating resilient city policies and disaster prevention strategies for sustainable urban development.

本中心設置之環境模擬艙可精準控制環境條件,提供研究人員在可重現的氣候狀態下進行實驗。艙體內部可調節相對濕度範圍為 0–100%,溫度範圍為 -10°C 至 60°C,能模擬極端寒熱與乾濕環境,以評估人體生理反應、運動表現或設備性能之變化。
